Guro-gu Launches 'Greenhouse Gas Diagnosis Consulting' Project... Energy Use Reduction Consulting Conducted Remotely... Energy-Saving Products Also Provided... Applications Accepted on 'Urijip Carbon Ledger' Website... First 100 Households Accepted on a First-Come, First-Served Basis
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Guro-gu (Mayor Lee Seong) is promoting the 'Greenhouse Gas Diagnosis Consulting' project.
Guro-gu announced on the 3rd, "To create a green city Guro together with residents, we are conducting 'Greenhouse Gas Diagnosis Consulting' as one of the greenhouse gas reduction activities that can be practiced in daily life."
'Greenhouse Gas Diagnosis Consulting' is a service where consultants trained in energy expertise diagnose energy usage and consumption patterns for households in the district and provide customized energy-saving plans tailored to each household's characteristics.
The consulting is conducted in a non-face-to-face manner using the internet and telephone to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
For 100 households that apply through the 'Our Home Carbon Ledger' website, six energy consultants analyze usage of electricity, gas, and water. Then, through telephone consultations, they suggest practical measures such as using high-efficiency lighting (LED), insulation materials like air caps and draft stoppers, reducing energy use during cooking and heating/cooling, and efficient power use of home appliances.
Over a three-month monitoring period, participants and consultants check changes in energy consumption.
Additionally, various projects for reducing energy use, such as Eco Mileage and support for eco-friendly condensing boilers, are introduced. Energy-saving items like 4-outlet power strips and portable mini fans are also provided.
Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Households wishing to participate can sign up and apply by entering a self-diagnosis of energy-saving measures and electricity, gas, and water usage data for three months of the previous year on the 'Our Home Carbon Ledger' website.
A Guro-gu official said, "This project can achieve a twofold effect of reducing electricity, gas, and water bills while protecting the environment," and added, "We ask for residents' interest and voluntary participation."
