Life and Non-Life Insurance Associations Select 32,000 Certified Top Agents The Life and Non-Life Insurance Association announced on the 1st that it has selected 32,757 outstanding certified planners who recorded excellent sales performance.

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] The Life and Non-life Insurance Associations announced on the 1st that they have selected 32,757 outstanding certified planners who recorded excellent sales performance.

Since April, the two associations have been accepting applications for outstanding certified planners and conducting evaluations, certifying 13,660 in life insurance and 19,097 in non-life insurance respectively. The certification period is from today for one year. The qualification for outstanding certified planners is granted based on a comprehensive evaluation of registration period, 13th and 25th contract retention rates, recruitment performance, and the presence or absence of incomplete sales cases.

The number of certified life insurance planners accounts for 14.3% of the total candidates, a decrease of 0.7 percentage points compared to the previous year. As part of channel strategies, some life insurance companies have established sales companies and collectively switched exclusive channels; based on last year's recruitment performance, planners belonging to sales companies were included as outstanding certified planners until this year.

The average age of outstanding certified life insurance planners was 52 years, with an average annual income of 96.87 million KRW, and an average registration period of 14.5 years. The 13th and 25th contract retention rates were 97.9% and 92.4%, respectively, far exceeding the certification standards of 90% for the 13th and 80% for the 25th.

The number of certified non-life insurance planners recorded the highest ever, increasing by 5.6% compared to the previous year. The average age was 53.7 years, with an average annual income of 104.55 million KRW, and the 13th contract retention rate increased to 96.7% compared to the previous year.

The two associations will work to boost the morale of certified planners and strengthen promotion to insurance consumers. The life insurance industry grants the right to use the certification logo and provides ID cards, personal promotional leaflets, certificates, and newsletters for outstanding certified planners. The Golden Fellow program, which selects the highest honorary qualification among outstanding certified planners, will expand the number of participants from 300 to 400.

The non-life insurance industry will also grant the right to use the certification logo, distribute certificates, and promote through in-house broadcasting. Those who are outstanding certified planners for five or more consecutive times will be granted Blue Ribbon candidate status.
