Hyundai Motor Securities Invites Professor Choi Jae-bung... Hosts New Normal Open Class

[Asia Economy Reporter Ji-hwan Park] Hyundai Motor Securities announced on the 26th that it held the 5th 'New Normal Open Class' to prepare for the accelerating digital era and take time to adapt.

At the New Normal Open Class held the previous day, Professor Jae-boong Choi of Sungkyunkwan University, recognized as one of the experts of the 4th Industrial Revolution who excels across academic boundaries such as humanities and mechanical engineering, served as the lecturer. Professor Choi is the author of the bestseller "Phonosapiens" and is widely credited with popularizing the neologism "Phonosapiens," referring to humans who use smartphones as part of their bodies, in Korea.

Professor Choi explained the changes in media, finance, and consumption patterns after the post-COVID-19 era. He emphasized, "To prepare for the post-COVID-19 era, we must become familiar with digital civilization and undergo changes in values and ways of thinking accordingly."

A Hyundai Motor Securities official said, "This lecture was held to help employees understand rapidly changing market trends and develop digital capabilities," adding, "We plan to continue providing content through the New Normal Open Class that offers insights from experts in various fields."

The New Normal Open Class is a lecture program for employees that invites distinguished figures from various fields to speak on diverse topics such as innovation, investment, and healing. It is held every two months and conducted as an online live lecture using a video conferencing system.
