[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the 25th, Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam Province announced that it conducted education on responding to population changes such as low birth rates for 50 unmarried male and female employees in the county office's large conference room.


This education was prepared to help form rational values regarding population increase through population education on marriage, childbirth, and family life.


The education, conducted by inviting instructor Jo Won-gyo from the Gyeongnam branch of the Korea Population, Health and Welfare Association, conveyed methods to improve perceptions of marriage, family, and children by comparing the social and cultural environments of Generation Z and the 30s and 40s generations, and presented directions to overcome the population cliff.


A county official stated, “This education was prepared to form rational values about marriage, childbirth, and family life and to find ways for the younger generation to increase the population through improving awareness of phenomena such as low birth rates.”
