[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Beer K, the importer and distributor of Tsingtao beer, announced on the 24th that it will release a limited edition ‘#ChimeokChimeok Chimaek Set’ package in collaboration with the diet specialty brand Dano.
The limited edition product consists of two types of Tsingtao non-alcoholic beer and six types of Dano Shop oven chicken, allowing consumers to enjoy 'Chimaek (chicken and beer)' comfortably even while dieting.
Tsingtao non-alcoholic beer contains 65 kcal per can (330ml standard), which is much lower in calories than regular beer, and has 0% fat and cholesterol. To preserve the unique flavor of beer, it contains more than twice the malt of regular lager, faithfully reproducing the original taste and aroma of Tsingtao lager.
The chicken comes in two textures, chicken thigh and chicken breast, with three flavors each: Original, Wang Galbi (soy sauce), and Magma (spicy chicken sauce), totaling six varieties. It is low in sodium and fat, with 0% sugar and trans fat content. Made from domestic chicken, it is aged at low temperature to enhance flavor.
Each Dano oven chicken contains only 100 to 190 kcal, making it a low-calorie combination that does not exceed the average calories of one bowl of rice (210g standard, 304 kcal) even when paired with one can of Tsingtao non-alcoholic beer.
The ‘#ChimeokChimeok Chimaek Set’ is available for purchase at Dano Shop, priced at 17,800 KRW.
A Tsingtao representative said, “We collaborated with Dano while considering a sustainable diet that encourages enjoying food without restraint even during dieting,” adding, “It will help form new eating habits by enjoying taste while maintaining a low-calorie diet.”
