Progressing the Action Together Project and Village Instructor Midpoint Project until November... Growing the Village Education Community through "Masil Naduri" Depicting Our Neighborhood and Village Instructor Network
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Lee Chang-woo) will carry out the ‘2021 Dongjak Innovation Education District Village Growth Project’ until November.
The Village Growth Project actively discovers village educational resources and promotes qualitative growth of the village education community through two initiatives: the ‘Action Together (Haengham) Project,’ which strengthens communication and capabilities among village participants, and the ‘Village Instructor Relay (Majung) Project.’
First, the Haengham Project, running from this month to November, is themed ‘Our Neighborhood Painted by Masil Outings’ and involves a total of 30 participants including village subcommittee members and teachers from six zones: Noryangjin, Sangdo, Sadang, Heukseok, Daebang, and Sindaebang.
They collect diverse data by exploring areas near schools such as ▲history and culture ▲ecology and nature ▲universities and libraries, which the village subcommittee members review by zone to supplement the neighborhood data book produced last year.
Additionally, next month, an online ‘Village Education Community Forum’ will be held with about 300 participants including Dongjak Innovation Education District participants and residents to seek solutions together on sustainable development of the village education community, directions for innovation education, and tasks required by the village education community.
Moreover, the ‘Village Instructor Relay Project’ will be conducted to share innovation education information and improve understanding of village education among village instructors participating in the Dongjak Innovation Education District, through programs such as village education pool-school linkage, the village as a school, and village instructor learning research clubs.
A voluntary network among village instructors will be formed to share various village education class cases and discover content, with the village instructor network’s achievements to be shared in November.
Furthermore, 10 clubs composed of three or more village instructors currently active or intending to be active in Dongjak-gu will be supported to promote convergence and complex development of village education content.
Jung Jong-rok, Director of the Education Policy Division, said, “We hope this project will be a good opportunity for residents to communicate and interact for the development of the village education community,” and added, “We will continue to promote various projects for active educational activities of residents.”
