Gangnam-gu 'The Archiver, Village Recorder' Four Sessions Over Two Weeks Open to Residents Interested in Village Community
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) will conduct the "Village Archive School," which introduces the values and activities of village communities, as an online contact lecture every Tuesday and Thursday for two weeks starting from the 25th.
The "Village Archive School" is a specialized course of Mimiwi Village School. The lecture, themed "The Archiver, Village Recorders," will be held over four sessions. It begins on the 25th with writer Ahn Jung-hee, author of "Records Comfort Wounds," presenting "Homo Archivist, People Who Record," followed by Dr. Joo Hyun-mi, an expert in records and information science, giving a lecture on the 27th titled "Understanding Village Archives, How to Record Experiences."
On June 1st, director Lee Sung-min of the documentary "Gaepo-dong That Place" will share photos and videos taken during the reconstruction process of the Gaepo-dong apartment complex under the theme "Records of Gangnam: People Recording Gaepo-dong."
In the final session on the 3rd, participants will hear about the activities of the Haebangchon Village Recording Group (Education Committee Member Kim So-eun) and the Geumcheon Village Community Archive (former team leader Jo Young-jin), and plan methods for village recording in Gangnam.
All lectures will be conducted online via the Zoom video conferencing platform from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
