On the 13th, held online and offline at the district office auditorium, contributing to the spread of a culture of integrity... Difficult Kimchi Ban Act made easy for everyone to understand through 2 hours of Pansori, Madanggeuk, and Sand Art
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Changwoo Lee) held a 'Integrity Live' event on the 13th at the district office auditorium to promote a culture of integrity.
'Integrity Live' is a new form of integrity education in a concert format that departs from traditional lecture-based training by utilizing various cultural contents such as Pansori and Madanggeuk.
The district conducted programs for two hours starting at 2 p.m., including a modern reinterpretation of the traditional Pansori "Chunhyangjeon" from the perspective of integrity, "Taesangatchi Mugeowo Nabillera," a Madanggeuk-style play explaining the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, and the award-winning sand art "On a Starry Night" from the integrity content contest.
About 70 participants, including district office executives, staff, and Dongjak-gu Council members, attended the event to enhance integrity leadership and foster a culture of leading by example.
Simultaneously, the event was broadcast live online to prevent COVID-19. All employees watched and participated in the integrity education, creating an opportunity to spread a culture of integrity throughout the organization.
The district has been continuously striving to build a clean Dongjak-gu, receiving the highest ratings in all integrity-related evaluations, including the autonomous internal control evaluation hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the public institution integrity evaluation by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, and the anti-corruption policy evaluation.
Additionally, the district distributes integrity postcards during permit and administrative processes, regularly sends integrity letters to prevent corruption in advance, and operates communication systems for transparent work processes, such as installing integrity and proactive suggestion boxes.
Auditor Jaecheon Yoo stated, “For a culture of integrity in public service to be established, it is essential that core leaders, such as executive officials, maintain integrity and lead by example. We will use this education as an opportunity to further promote a transparent and clean organizational culture.”
