[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] On the morning of the 18th, the 41st anniversary of the May 18 Democratic Uprising, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon will attend the 41st Seoul Commemoration Ceremony of the May 18 People's Uprising held at 10 a.m. in the yard of Seodaemun Prison History Hall, where he will lay flowers, offer incense, and deliver a commemorative speech.


The ceremony, hosted by the May 18 Democratic Movement Seoul Commemoration Association, is expected to be attended by Mayor Oh, May 18 democracy meritorious persons, and citizens.


Considering the COVID-19 situation, the ceremony will be conducted in strict compliance with quarantine guidelines such as social distancing between seats and wearing masks. For citizens who cannot attend in person, the event will be broadcast live on the official Seoul City YouTube channel, Live Seoul, and TBS TV.


At 4 p.m., Mayor Oh will hold a meeting with the 'Seoul Private Daycare Center Association' at the Seoul City Hall conference room. He will encourage the efforts of daycare center staff who are dedicated on the front lines of childcare and listen to their difficulties.


The meeting will be attended by 11 people, including Jeong Hye-kyung, president of the Seoul Private Daycare Center Association, Jeon Yang-suk, senior vice president, and other executives of the Seoul Private Daycare Center Association.
