[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] On the 17th, Rep. Kim Eun-hye, who challenged the People Power Party leadership race, described the speculation about former Rep. Na Kyung-won's candidacy for party leader as "regrettable."

Rep. Kim appeared on CBS Radio's Kim Hyun-jung News Show that day and said, "Former Rep. Na is a valuable asset, and I think the fact that such candidacy rumors are emerging shows how much she must be worried about the party," but added, "I think the speculation itself is regrettable."

She stated, "I think this suggests that the so-called veteran group's talent pool has been depleted to the extent that someone who lost in the Seoul mayoral primary just two months ago has to be called back for the party leadership race," and added, "In difficult times, I believe we should move toward a new arrangement rather than recycling the same people."

Rep. Kim said, "If the party tries to reverse this situation separately, not as a personal recycling by that person (former Rep. Na), wouldn't that be a step backward?" and added, "If she runs, I think the confrontation between the future and the past will be further intensified."

Regarding the emphasis on 'experience' by former floor leader Joo Ho-young, a competitor in the party leadership race, who cited actress Youn Yuh-jung, an Oscar winner, Rep. Kim directly countered this. She said, "Ms. Youn Yuh-jung won the Oscar because she is a great actress," and added, "She had an open philosophy and creativity that allowed her to participate in independent films even at her age." She further added, "BTS is young, but they are recognized worldwide because of their outstanding musical abilities."
