Samsung's Affordable 5G Smartphone 'Galaxy A22' Unveiled

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] The budget 5G smartphone series 'Galaxy A22' from Samsung Electronics, expected to be unveiled as early as next month, is gradually being revealed.

On the 15th (local time), according to IT specialized media SamMobile and 91Mobile, the Galaxy A22 is expected to be released in two models: 5G and Long-Term Evolution (LTE).

Both models of the Galaxy A22 series are expected to be available in four colors: White, Black, Green, and Purple. Among these, the Green and Purple colors are presumed to be slightly brighter and pastel-toned, similar to last year's Galaxy S20 Fan Edition (FE).

The Galaxy A22 5G is expected to feature an LCD display and a triple rear camera setup with three cameras. The front display will have a camera positioned at the top center of the screen. In contrast, the LTE model will have a front design very similar to the 5G model but with thinner bezels and is expected to have a quad camera setup with one more rear camera.

Additionally, the 5G model is presumed to support side fingerprint recognition, and both models are expected to have a 6.4-inch screen size and a 5000mAh battery capacity supporting 15W fast charging.
