Samsung Refrigerators Receive Consecutive 'Best' Ratings in Germany, Sweden, and Italy

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Samsung Electronics refrigerators have consecutively ranked first in evaluations by major consumer magazines in key European regions such as Germany, Sweden, and Italy.

According to industry sources on the 16th, Germany's largest consumer magazine 'Stiwa' recently selected Samsung Electronics refrigerator (model RL36R8739S9) as the top product among 132 models in the top-refrigerator, bottom-freezer category. Samsung's refrigerator received the highest rating of 'Very Excellent' in four out of seven evaluation criteria: freezing performance, temperature safety, energy efficiency, and malfunction detection.

This product allows the freezer compartment to be converted to refrigerator temperature as needed. Featuring the 'Kitchen Fit' design, it also creates an integrated interior look with kitchen furniture.

Additionally, the Swedish consumer magazine 'Rad & Ron' selected Samsung Electronics refrigerator (model RR40M7165WW) as the best product for four consecutive years among 32 models in the single-door refrigerator-only category. This model, which has maintained first place since 2018, received excellent scores in refrigeration performance and energy efficiency.

This product is characterized by ▲ the application of a digital inverter compressor for efficient energy use ▲ differentiated cooling functions such as 'Metal Cooling' and 'Power Cool' ▲ and features that allow users to receive door open alerts or remotely control temperature via smartphone using a Wi-Fi dongle.

Furthermore, Italy's consumer magazine 'Altroconsumo' selected Samsung Electronics refrigerator (model RS68N8322S9) as the top product among nine models in the French-door refrigerator category, awarding it both 'Best Test' and 'Best Buy' titles.

'Best Test' is given to products with the highest scores, while 'Best Buy' is awarded to products recommended for purchase by the magazine considering both performance test results and price. Samsung's refrigerator earned the highest rating of '5 stars' in six out of nine evaluation criteria: freezing speed, refrigeration speed, temperature safety, recommended temperature, energy, and noise.

Samsung Electronics continues to show growth exceeding the industry average in Europe, the home of home appliances. Refrigerator sales grew approximately 18% year-on-year in the first quarter.
