Online Public Participation Survey Starts from the 17th
Recruitment of Public Participation Group and Regional Discussion Meetings to be Held
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The National Education Council is launching a survey to gather public opinions on the 2022 revised curriculum.
On the 14th, the National Education Council held its 24th meeting at the Government Seoul Office and approved the 'Plan to Promote Social Consultation for Public Participation in Curriculum Revision.'
Starting from the 17th, the National Education Council will begin an online survey for public participation in the 2022 revised curriculum. Subsequently, additional public opinions will be collected through regional forums, youth and adolescent discussions, and focused debates. Any citizen can provide opinions on the desired talent profile to be reflected in the general curriculum and on curriculum operation.
The National Education Council plans to compile the collected opinions into recommendations and submit them to the Ministry of Education to ensure that public opinions are incorporated into the 2022 revised curriculum. Additionally, a public participation group will be recruited to hold regional and stakeholder forums to identify 'key educational agendas in the regions.'
