[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Joo Ho-young, former floor leader who challenged for the leadership of the People Power Party, revealed that former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol has expressed his intention to join the People Power Party.

On the 13th, after giving a lecture at the Mapo Forum, a gathering of current and former members of the People Power Party, Joo met with reporters and said, "I have not confirmed directly with him, but through several channels, I have confirmed from a few places that he can join us."

He added, "If I am elected as party leader, I will meet him promptly," and said, "It would be good if he joins before the (presidential) race starts. I will make every effort."

Regarding the presidential candidates within the People Power Party, Joo said, "I believe it is possible if we create a platform where they can work at the center of the party and take on important roles." This means that along with efforts to recruit from outside, he also intends to nurture presidential candidates within the People Power Party.
