[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do, will provide temporary management support vouchers to small-scale fishing households affected by COVID-19.
According to the county on the 13th, the temporary management support voucher project for small-scale fishing households is a project organized as the 4th disaster relief fund in the government supplementary budget last March to stabilize the management of fishermen and promote their willingness to settle in fishing villages.
The recipients in Jindo-gun are 846 households, including 632 fishing households eligible for last year's disadvantaged area fisheries direct payment project and 214 low-income households.
Fishermen confirmed as recipients can apply at their local eup/myeon office with their ID card and use the voucher until the end of August.
The voucher is provided as a 300,000 KRW prepaid card from the Fisheries Cooperative per fishing household and can be used for purchasing fishing-related goods, daily necessities, transportation expenses, medical expenses, and more.
A representative from the Fisheries Support Division of Jindo-gun said, "We hope this will help stabilize the management of fishing households affected by the spread of COVID-19."
