[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Muan County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 13th that it will hold an invitational exhibition titled "The Colors of Light with a Long Story" by artists Yoo Ji-won and Jung Jeong-ha from the 15th of this month to August 15th, for three months.

At the Oh Seung-woo Art Museum, about 20 works including installations, paintings, and videos will be exhibited in Exhibition Rooms 2 and 3 of the museum to explore the world of light and color that has changed along with the history of painting.

Artist Yoo Ji-won reconstructed fragments and traces of life collected from demolished houses in redevelopment areas and transformed them into visual sculptural works. She reproduces fragments of houses such as collapsed walls and stairs using corrugated cardboard and colors them to restore and show lost memories and life stories.

Artist Jung Jeong-ha uses architectural paint and epoxy resin instead of commonly used paint colors to express color. By varying the thickness of the resin, the artist induces various transmissions and reflections of light, creating a brilliant and splendid feast of colors.

Governor Kim San said, "Through this exhibition, we expect to see the unique worlds of the two artists regarding color," and added, "Since works using various media such as installations, videos, and paintings will be exhibited, it will be an interesting exhibition that allows for multiple interpretations."

Meanwhile, the Muan County Oh Seung-woo Art Museum operates various non-face-to-face programs such as exhibition commentary monitors, online exhibitions, and online experience programs as COVID-19 countermeasures, enabling people to enjoy cultural benefits even while practicing social distancing in daily life.
