[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam, has been providing a non-face-to-face psychological rehabilitation program since March to alleviate emotional anxiety and depression during the quarantine period caused by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).

The non-face-to-face psychological rehabilitation program is provided as a package consisting of a mental health guidebook containing mental health and COVID-19 psychological support information, a thermal eye mask and aroma pillow scent that can help with deep sleep and mental stability, latex bands and vitamins to promote health through home training, and psychological rehabilitation work sheets for self-improvement of mental health.

In particular, the psychological rehabilitation work sheets are designed to allow individuals to reflect on their ‘body, mind, and emotions’ during the 14-day self-quarantine period, consisting of ‘body sensation work sheet,’ ‘anger work sheet,’ and ‘emotional desire work sheet,’ and are expected to help provide time for self-reflection during the quarantine period.

The director of Hamyang-gun Public Health Center said, “We will carefully support residents who have to live in quarantine due to the COVID-19 infectious disease to overcome anxiety and depression during the quarantine period and nurture their body and mind.”

A representative of the Hamyang-gun Mental Health Center said, “If emotional and psychological anxiety and depression persist during the quarantine period, do not hesitate to use the 24-hour mental health counseling phone for non-face-to-face counseling and maintain a healthy quarantine life.”
