Yeonggwang-gun, Application for 'Basic Public Interest Direct Payment' Open Until the 31st

[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Junsung) announced on the 13th that it is accepting applications for the '2021 Basic Public Interest Direct Payment' until the 31st of this month.

The eligible farmland for payment is farmland that has received direct payments properly at least once from 2017 to 2019.

Applicants must be registered agricultural management entities who have properly received direct payments at least once during the period from 2016 to 2019, or be successor farmers, full-time farmers, or farmers engaged in agriculture on eligible farmland of 1000㎡ or more (excluding fallow land) for at least one year within the three years prior to the registration year.

Farmers who have not yet applied can submit their applications at the township or town office of the farmland location by the end of this month.

If not applied, the opportunity to receive the basic direct payment will be lost.

A county official stated, “The direct payment will be made in November after verification and compliance inspections. We urge farmers applying for the direct payment to strictly follow the agricultural compliance requirements to avoid any disadvantages.”
