Decision to Jointly Promote Project Discovery
Dongseo University and the Busan International Exchange Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding on the 12th to promote public diplomacy and development cooperation projects.

Dongseo University (President Jang Je-guk) announced on the 13th that it signed a business agreement with the Busan International Exchange Foundation on the 12th at the New Millennium Hall Global Room to promote regional public diplomacy and development cooperation projects.
Attending the signing ceremony were Dongseo University President Jang Je-guk, Professor Woo Kyung-ha (former Ambassador to Australia), Vice President for Academic Affairs Nam Ho-soo, Dean of International College Kim Hee-kyung, and Professor Je Jeom-sook, head of the Department of East Asian Studies.
From the Busan International Exchange Foundation, Secretary General Jeong Jong-pil, Development Cooperation Team Leader Yeon Kyung-shim, and Exchange Cooperation Team Leader Jeon Mi-kyung were present.
Dongseo University agreed to jointly discover and promote international development cooperation projects that leverage the strengths of the Busan region through cooperation with the Busan International Exchange Foundation, a representative international exchange institution of Busan and an implementing agency of international development cooperation (ODA) projects.
The two organizations will mutually cooperate in various fields including ▲ research, projects, and exchange activities related to international cooperation based on the city of Busan ▲ planning and execution of projects in public diplomacy and development cooperation, field-specific research, education, and events for capacity building ▲ mutual exchange and utilization of human and material resources between the two organizations.
Dongseo University plans to expand education, research, and industry-academia activities to discover development cooperation projects centered on university specialization fields and establish a talent cultivation platform suitable for this purpose.
Active exchanges are expected with Dongseo University’s specialized majors in the International College and the Department of East Asian Studies.
President Jang Je-guk of Dongseo University said, “If the two organizations utilize their domestic and international networks and internationalization capabilities through this business agreement to promote new exchange and cooperation projects, it will create great synergy effects and contribute to regional development.”
