Naibec Launches Full-Scale Sales in Greater China with Straumann

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Naivek announced on the 13th that it is expanding its presence in the Greater China market by obtaining product approvals for dental biomaterials in Taiwan, following the acquisition of product approval for dental biomaterials in China last November. Entry into the Greater China market will be handled by top industry leaders, including the global number one company, Straumann.

Naivek received product approval for dental biomaterials from the China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) last November and is currently preparing for full-scale exports. The company is continuously expanding its overseas market for dental biomaterials, not only in its existing key markets of the Americas and Europe but also in China and now Taiwan. Additionally, it is acquiring product approvals in individual countries such as Brazil, Australia, and Singapore.

A Naivek representative stated, "Since 2014, Naivek has been selling dental biomaterials in Taiwan through a local company, but due to the local company's limited capabilities and poor sales performance, the existing contract was terminated and the distributor was changed to the globally stronger sales company, Straumann."

He added, "The standards for approval in the Greater China region are stringent, so obtaining certification in Taiwan following China is very significant. It took about five years to receive approval in China, and since certification itself is difficult in Taiwan, just acquiring the certification has attracted great attention."

While sales in the United States and Europe are showing steadily increasing growth, the company explained that since the sales in China and Taiwan markets are handled by globally top-tier companies, the Greater China region is expected to drive Naivek's overall performance growth.
