[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters (Head Kim Jun-seok) held a sponsorship fund delivery ceremony for the ‘7th Sotong Gori University Student Volunteer Contest’ together with the Busan Volunteer Center (Center Director Baek Soon-hee) to expand university students’ talent donation volunteer activities.
Now in its 7th year, this project is being conducted to develop and support region-customized volunteer programs through creative talent-sharing activities by university students.
The Busan Volunteer Center organizes the event, and the Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters sponsors it.
This year, 48 university student volunteer teams from the Busan area applied for the Sotong Gori contest, and 30 teams were selected.
Sponsorship funds totaling 65 million KRW will be delivered, ranging from 1 million KRW to a maximum of 2 million KRW per team.
Kim Jun-seok, head of the Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters, who delivered the sponsorship funds, said, “We are honored to participate in the activation of university students’ talent donation volunteer activities, and we will spare no support to ensure that the Sotong Gori University Student Volunteer Contest project becomes a successful volunteer program model.”
The 30 selected teams will carry out volunteer activities according to their own plans until October, and a final awards ceremony will be held at the end of the year based on the activity results.
