Cultural Heritage Administration Conducts Safety Training for Folk Village Residents and Others

Approximately 2,400 Cultural Heritage Care Workers, Security Guards, and Tour Guides Targeted

The Cultural Heritage Administration is conducting safety education for about 2,400 people, including residents of folk villages, cultural heritage caretakers, security guards, tour guides, children, and temple officials, through December. The program is operated through non-face-to-face and individual visit education, as well as hands-on practice at cultural heritage sites. In folk villages, where many elderly residents live, instructions on how to act during disasters, examples of electrical and gas accidents, and how to use devices are provided. For cultural heritage caretakers, security guards, and tour guides, disaster response manuals are used to share information on how to use fire safety equipment, evacuate visitors, and perform first aid. Children's safety education includes educational comic videos explained by cartoon characters. An official stated, "We will minimize blind spots in cultural heritage safety and encourage the creation of a safe viewing environment."
