Duzon Bizon "Agreement with Gangwon-do on 'Integrated Service Platform Construction Project'"

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Duzon Bizon and Gangwon Province announced on the 12th that they held a signing ceremony for the ‘Gangwon Province-type Integrated Service Platform Construction Project’ aimed at a digital transformation centered on the residents of Gangwon Province.

The signing ceremony was attended by Gangwon Governor Choi Moon-soon, Duzon Bizon CEO Kim Yong-woo, as well as key companies and institutions including NH Nonghyup, Shinhan Bank, Korea Simple Payment Promotion Agency, ICONLOOP, and consortium stakeholders. Considering the COVID-19 situation, the event was conducted via online live streaming with only a minimal number of participants attending offline.

The ‘Gangwon Province-type Integrated Service Platform Construction Project’ aims to build ‘Nayana,’ an integrated service platform specialized for Gangwon Province based on next-generation decentralized identity (DID) technology, achieving innovation in digital transformation across Gangwon’s administration, economy, and welfare sectors.

In line with this, Duzon Bizon will build the ‘Nayana’ platform based on its business platform ‘WEHAGO’ and personal integrated service platform ‘WEHAGO ONE.’ The company plans to provide a stable system by utilizing its infrastructure, technological capabilities, and know-how, as well as various regulatory licenses and technologies in areas such as electronic certificate issuance, security authentication, finance, and data management.

Gangwon Province will use the Nayana platform to resolve inconveniences in existing administrative services and secure data sovereignty centered on Gangwon residents. It also expects various social and economic effects such as improving the efficiency and quality of public services through digital transformation of administrative services, data-based services, big data platform projects, and creating revenue models using residents’ data.

In particular, it will lay the foundation for Gangwon Province to become the most innovative local government in the future by utilizing this platform. Through platform construction and operational experience, it will further advance core infrastructure and implement innovation across all fields including administration, welfare, transportation, disaster safety, and tourism culture by leveraging accumulated big data and other technological assets.

Song Ho-cheol, head of the Platform Business Division at Duzon Bizon, said, “We will successfully build the Gangwon Province-type integrated service platform for data- and platform-based administration,” adding, “We will focus our capabilities on applying Duzon Bizon’s big data and artificial intelligence technologies to help Gangwon Province become the most innovative local government and further expand this to other local governments.”
