[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Productivity Center (Chairman An Wanki, hereinafter KPC) announced on the 12th that it signed a 'Business Agreement for AI Technology (AI+x) Talent Development' together with Korea Polytechnic University (Chairman Jo Jaehee, hereinafter Polytechnic) and the Korea Software Industry Association (Chairman Jo Junhee, hereinafter SW Industry Association).


Following the signing ceremony, the three partner organizations held a 'Joint Declaration Pledge Ceremony for the Promotion of the Korean New Deal' together with the Presidential Policy Planning Committee (Chairman Jo Daeyeop). The three organizations agreed to mutually cooperate on ▲discovering youth jobs for the implementation of the Digital New Deal ▲establishing a talent development system in the AI technology (AI+x) field ▲developing customized educational content and establishing an education system for AI technology (AI+x) tailored to life cycles ▲building a network and employment linkage system among AI companies (small, venture, etc.) and industry-academia-research.


KPC and Polytechnic will focus their capabilities on developing customized educational content and providing online and offline education consulting. The SW Industry Association plans to supply necessary personnel promptly to industrial sites where employment expansion is expected and support young people to enter the labor market early. At the 'Joint Declaration Pledge Ceremony for the Promotion of the Korean New Deal' held by the Presidential Policy Planning Committee and the three partner organizations, they agreed to actively participate in promoting the Korean New Deal through mutual solidarity and cooperation, nurturing core K-digital talents, and strengthening the industrial ecosystem for the digital economic transformation.


Jo Daeyeop, Chairman of the Policy Planning Committee, said, "The Korean New Deal is a comprehensive national innovation strategy aimed at transforming 21st-century Korea into a digital economy, green ecosystem, and human community," adding, "Above all, the Korean New Deal must be a ‘just transition’ based on social consensus."


An Wanki, Chairman of KPC, stated, "For the growth of the Korean economy and industry, it is necessary to nurture digital talents who will lead rapid digital transformation and innovation," and added, "KPC, as a productivity innovation institution supporting 'digital transformation and smartization,' will support the establishment of an education system for AI technology talent development to create high value-added jobs and lead the digital economic transformation."
