LG Uplus Draws 5,000 Preferred Customer Numbers in First Half of the Year

[Asia Economy Reporter Joselgina] LG Uplus announced on the 12th that it will accept applications for the 2021 first half customer preferred number lottery event from the 24th to June 6th.

The types of phone numbers that can be entered in this lottery event include ▲AAAA ▲000A ▲00AA ▲AA00 ▲ABAB ▲A000 ▲ABCD ▲ABCD-ABCD where the area code and the last digits are the same ▲numbers with specific meanings such as '1004', totaling 5,000 numbers.

Since 2006, LG Uplus has provided phone numbers that have specific meanings or are easy to remember and highly preferred by many customers through a lottery held twice a year.

The most popular type in the second half lottery event held last November was ABCD-ABCD. The competition rate was about 503.4, showing tremendous popularity.

Customers who wish to receive a preferred number can visit offline stores from the 24th to June 6th or apply by filling out the application form according to the instructions in the 'Customer Support - Usage Guide - Product Subscription Guide - Preferred Number - Preferred Number Application' menu on the LG Uplus website to enter the lottery.

Not only LG Uplus customers but also customers of other telecom companies can apply, and MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) users can apply for up to 3 numbers per person according to the guidance of their respective operators.

The winners will be announced on June 10th, and the numbers will be distributed to the winners from June 14th to July 2nd. Winners cannot transfer the preferred numbers to others and cannot apply for the preferred number lottery event held for one year after distribution.
