[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] Saemaeul Geumgo Central Association announced on the 12th that it held an on-site communication meeting with representatives of social economy enterprises.
The meeting, held the previous day at the Central Association headquarters in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, was attended by representatives of 25 social economy enterprises selected for the ‘MG Hope Sharing Social Growth Support Project.’ This project has been implemented since 2018 by the Together Foundation and the Central Association to discover social economy enterprises. The meeting was conducted in a format to discuss the role of Saemaeul Geumgo and listen to difficulties and suggestions regarding enterprise management.
The Central Association emphasized that it will supply social finance worth 15 billion KRW next year to revitalize social enterprises. It also mentioned that it is working on forming long-term partnerships with social economy enterprises and establishing a new platform for the regional economy.
Park Cha-hoon, President of Saemaeul Geumgo Central Association, stated, “We will enhance the sustainability of social economy enterprises through long-term partnerships,” adding, “We will create a structure that can coexist with Saemaeul Geumgo and fulfill our social responsibility as a regional financial institution.”
