PioLink Reports Approximately 38% Increase in Operating Profit for Q1 Compared to Last Year

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] PionetLink (CEO Jo Youngchul), a company specializing in cloud data center optimization, announced through a public disclosure on the 12th that its operating profit for the first quarter of this year recorded approximately KRW 920 million, an increase of about 38% compared to the same period last year. Net profit increased by about 28% to approximately KRW 1 billion, and sales reached about KRW 9.35 billion, up 16%.

PionetLink has maintained a consecutive profit streak for 10 quarters since the fourth quarter of 2018. Although the first quarter performance is generally weaker than other quarters due to the seasonality of the business, this first quarter showed the highest performance ever, marking a smooth start.

This is mainly due to the approximately 16% growth in sales of the company’s network equipment and security services compared to the same period last year, driven by the continuously increasing data usage and the rising importance of network infrastructure and security services. As a result, profitability such as operating profit and net profit also increased significantly.

The company is a leading domestic manufacturer of ADC (Application Delivery Controller) and holds about 40% market share while competing with major overseas companies, securing the top position in Korea for five consecutive years. In addition, it develops and manufactures core network equipment (security switches, web firewalls) and provides security monitoring and consulting services.

A PionetLink representative stated, “This year, with the promotion of the Korean New Deal policy and the expansion of 5G and data infrastructure construction projects, we expect an increase in demand for our equipment and security services.”
