[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City announced on the 12th that it will publicly recruit 49 members to participate in the "8th Resident Participatory Budget Committee" from the 12th to the 31st of this month.
Eligibility for application includes citizens residing in Daejeon as of the announcement date and employees or executives of institutions and businesses, who will be selected through a lottery. After receiving applications, the city plans to finalize the list by considering region, gender, age, and other factors.
The 8th Resident Participatory Budget Committee will be active for two years starting from July 11. The committee will consist of a total of 110 members, including those selected through the public recruitment, and during the activity period, members will provide opinions on major projects promoted by the city and participate in budget allocation for citizen proposal contests related to the resident participatory budget.
Applications for committee membership can be submitted by filling out the application form available on the city's Resident Participatory Budget website and the city's official website announcement section, and sending it via email, visiting in person, or by mail.
The selection results can be checked on the city's Resident Participatory Budget website next month and will also be individually notified.
