BTS Premieres "Butter" Performance at the US Billboard Music Awards BTS participating as performers at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards.


[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] The group BTS will unveil the stage performance of their new digital single "Butter" for the first time at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs).


The Billboard Music Awards organizers officially announced on the 11th (local time) via their official social media channels that BTS will participate as performers at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards held on the 23rd. With this, BTS will be performing at the Billboard Music Awards for the fourth consecutive year.


BTS first gained worldwide attention by debuting the stage performance of "FAKE LOVE" at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards. In 2019, they performed "Boy With Luv" together with singer Halsey. Last year, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, they delivered a performance of "Dynamite" online, set against the backdrop of Incheon International Airport, which attracted great attention.


At this year's Billboard Music Awards, BTS set a new record for the most nominations by being named in four categories: Top Duo/Group, Top Song Sales Artist, Top Social Artist, and Top Selling Song.


Besides BTS, the awards ceremony will feature performances by global artists including Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers, who will host the event, as well as P!nk and The Weeknd. The ceremony will be broadcast live on NBC in the United States starting at 8 PM on the 23rd.


Meanwhile, BTS will release their lively and upbeat summer song "Butter" worldwide on the 21st at 1 PM (Korean time).
