[Concall] SKT, "Tmap Mobility to Launch Subscription-Based and Chauffeur Services"

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] On the 11th, during the Q1 2021 earnings conference call, SK Telecom's Corporate 2 Center Head Ha Hyung-il responded to questions about T map Mobility's fundraising and recent business status by stating, "In Q1, we completed raising approximately 400 billion KRW from financial investors to support T map Mobility's growth. To provide differentiated services centered on taxis, we launched Wootee in partnership with Uber, and in Q2, we will introduce a subscription-based service on the T map Life platform that has not existed before, as well as pilot a B2C chauffeur service."

Regarding the future strategy of Wootee, the joint venture (JV) with Uber, he said, "Wootee officially launched on April 1st, and in the second half of this year, Wootee will integrate Uber Taxi and T map Taxi to offer new services. Initially, the focus will be on franchise taxis and premium taxis, but in the future, various additional services and mobility services centered on taxis will be introduced."
