According to Chonnam National University on the 11th, the Chonnam National University Museum, in collaboration with the International Visual Culture and Arts Association, is hosting a solidarity exhibition supporting democratization titled "WITH MYANMAR" with Myanmar artists at the Yongbong Hall University History Museum on campus until the 7th of next month.
This exhibition features 100 works by a total of 70 artists, including 20 Myanmar artists (17 of whom reside in Myanmar), 43 domestic artists, and 7 overseas artists.

The Korean artists' works are presented as a special exhibition to carry on the spirit of Gwangju in May, expressing solidarity and support with Myanmar artists.
The viewing hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.
The exhibited works are mostly flat paintings, primarily resistance art dealing with the scars of state violence, and the desire for democratization and peace.
In particular, Myanmar artists ranging from their 70s to young adults express the severe pain they are experiencing and their hopes for democratization through their works.
In a joint letter, the Myanmar artists conveyed, "We are truly grateful to Chonnam National University for organizing this exhibition and supporting the people and artists of Myanmar. We are making every possible effort to overcome the recent situation and believe that a good future will come to Myanmar."
Director Jeong Geum-hee said, "This exhibition symbolizes how the march for democracy that began at Chonnam National University in 1980 extends to a distant foreign country and returns to us as a message of hope. I hope many people will empathize with Myanmar's pain and wounds through the artworks and also take this opportunity to support them."
