Koscom Attends 'Korea Fintech Week 2021' Hosted by Financial Services Commission

[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] Koscom will attend an event planned by the Financial Services Commission to introduce various innovative financial service cases related to fintech (finance + technology).

Koscom announced on the 11th that it will participate in 'Korea Fintech Week 2021,' organized by the Financial Services Commission to support digital financial innovation. Attending the event starting on the 26th, Koscom plans to introduce the 'Financial Cloud Support Project' and share innovative financial service cases from outstanding fintech companies.

The 'Financial Cloud Support Project' is a customized program for fintech companies throughout their lifecycle, initiated by the Financial Services Commission. It supports fintech companies in safely developing and operating financial services by utilizing cloud services that comply with electronic financial supervision regulations, with Koscom managing the service operation.

Fintech companies selected as support targets will receive subsidies in the form of vouchers for cloud computing, construction, and security consulting, which are practically necessary during the service launch and expansion process. In particular, various cloud services required for licensing processes such as MyData and online investment-linked finance businesses are expected to be provided.

Additionally, through presentations of innovative financial service cases, fintech companies providing innovative financial services in various financial sectors such as asset management, loans, insurtech (insurance + technology), payments, and remittances will be introduced.

A Koscom official stated, "This event will be a great opportunity to see how financial cloud contributes to activating the fintech ecosystem as an essential infrastructure in the fintech and IT innovation process."
