Gimhae City Selected for Shared Economy Activation Support Project... 30 Million Won Support for 2 Projects

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gimhae City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 11th that two projects were selected for the '2021 City and County Shared Economy Activation Support Project' hosted by Gyeongsangnam-do, securing a project budget of 30 million KRW.

The Shared Economy Activation Support Project is a program aimed at spreading a sharing culture by jointly utilizing resources such as spaces, goods, and talents to enhance convenience as well as create social, economic, and environmental value.

The projects selected this time are the 'Shared Learning Space Han-georeum Classroom' and the 'Recycled Bicycle Production and Sharing Project.'

The Han-georeum Classroom utilizes idle facilities or spaces within the region as lifelong learning activity places for citizens and operates through talent donation by resident instructors, sharing not only space but also talents. This project is promoted by the Human Resources Development Support Division.

The Recycled Bicycle Project addresses the increase in bicycles population, which has led to more bicycles being abandoned on streets or in apartments. This project repairs and refurbishes these abandoned bicycles through talent donation to produce recycled bicycles and shares them with citizens in need, thereby spreading the sharing culture. It is promoted by the Urban Development Corporation.

A Gimhae City official said, "We expect that the projects selected in this year's contest will activate Gimhae's shared economy and realize social value."
