Hyundai Motor Company Launches 2021 Grandeur... Special Trim 'Le Blanc' Added

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 11th that it will launch the '2021 Grandeur' with new trims and expanded safety and convenience features.

To broaden consumer choices, Hyundai added a special trim called ‘Le Blanc’ to the 2021 Grandeur gasoline and hybrid models, featuring new interior colors and customer-preferred options. Le Blanc, meaning "white" in French, applies an interior combining beige (seats) and black colors, giving the Grandeur a bright and luxurious image.

Additionally, for user safety and convenience, customer-preferred features such as ▲Highway Driving Assist ▲Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist ▲12.3-inch color LCD cluster ▲Ambient mood lamp ▲Touch-type climate control ▲Blind-Spot View Monitor ▲Surround View Monitor ▲Front seat ventilation are now standard.

In particular, when selecting the gasoline 3.3 engine in the Le Blanc trim, the ‘Le Blanc Performance Package’ is standard, which includes carbon material side mirrors and rear spoiler, as well as Alcantara material steering wheel and center console armrest.

Furthermore, Hyundai enhanced the premium, exclusive, and calligraphy trims by adding safety and convenience features while minimizing price increases to improve product value and price competitiveness. For the premium trim, laminated soundproof glass (added to the rear doors) and UV-blocking glass are standard; the exclusive trim comes standard with Remote 360-degree View (surrounding vehicle video); and the calligraphy trim adds new interior colors in khaki and beige (beige seats).

Despite strengthening product value by making some previously optional features standard in existing trims, the 2021 Grandeur maintains price competitiveness by limiting price increases to 90,000 to 250,000 KRW. The 2021 Grandeur’s selling prices (including 3.5% individual consumption tax) are as follows: gasoline 2.5 models ? ▲Premium 33.03 million KRW ▲Le Blanc 35.34 million KRW ▲Exclusive 36.81 million KRW ▲Calligraphy 41.33 million KRW. For gasoline 3.3 models ? ▲Premium 35.93 million KRW ▲Le Blanc 39.29 million KRW ▲Exclusive 39.26 million KRW ▲Calligraphy 43.88 million KRW. Hybrid model prices are ▲Premium 36.79 million KRW ▲Le Blanc 39.00 million KRW ▲Exclusive 40.12 million KRW ▲Calligraphy 44.89 million KRW.

A Hyundai official stated, "The newly introduced 'Grandeur Le Blanc' features an interior in black and beige colors and customer-preferred options, offering high product value," adding, "We expect the 2021 Grandeur, with enhanced product value and price competitiveness, to continuously lead growth in the sedan market."

Meanwhile, Hyundai will launch the 'About Success' campaign to communicate the product value of the Grandeur equipped with safety and convenience features such as rear parking collision-avoidance assist, Remote 360-degree View, and laminated soundproof glass.
