Providing Customized Care Services Through Home Visits, Always Recruiting Applicants

Opening of Songpa-gu Integrated Home Long-term Care Center Park Sung-soo, Mayor of Songpa District, giving a congratulatory speech

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Songpa-gu (Mayor Park Seong-su) opened the 'Gu-rip Songpa Integrated Home Long-term Care Center' (hereinafter Long-term Care Center) on the 10th for elderly people who need long-term care services at home.

With the establishment of the Long-term Care Center, which was also an important pledge of the 7th local government administration, services such as home care, bathing, and nursing that were scattered across individual institutions can now be used all at once.

Through this, care workers and nurses will visit the homes of elderly people who need assistance with daily activities or nursing due to senile diseases, assess their individual conditions and needs, and provide customized care services such as support for physical activities, household activities, and health management.

Anyone aged 65 or older who has been recognized with long-term care grades 1 to 5, as well as those under 65 or with senile diseases such as dementia or cerebrovascular disease that cause mobility difficulties, can use the service.

Basic livelihood security recipients can use the service free of charge, while general users pay a co-payment of ▲150,000 to 228,000 KRW per month for home care ▲7,000 to 8,000 KRW per hour for home nursing ▲6,000 KRW per session for home bathing.

The Long-term Care Center is located on the first floor of the Gu-rip Songpa Senior Care Center at 184 Chungmin-ro, Songpa-gu, and service applications can be made via consultation phone calls.

Mayor Park Seong-su stated, “With the opening of this center, we can provide help to families struggling to care for elderly members,” and added, “We will do our best to listen to the voices of residents and develop better policies to enhance the convenience of more elderly people.”
