‘Chakage Salja’ Event Offering Preferential Interest Rates to Customers Who Register ESG Commitment

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] IBK Industrial Bank announced on the 10th that it will hold the ‘Chakage Salja’ event until June 11, offering preferential interest rates to customers who register their commitment to practicing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) such as environmental protection and sharing.

To participate in the event, customers need to subscribe to the ‘IBK D-day Savings’ through the mobile banking app i-ONE Bank and register their ESG commitment in the account nickname, such as ‘I will buy an electric car’ or ‘I will use a tumbler’.

IBK Industrial Bank will provide a special preferential interest rate of 0.2 percentage points to the first 10,000 customers who register their nicknames. The interest rate will be automatically applied after the event ends. Additionally, eco-friendly prizes such as electric bicycles, solid shampoo bars, and plant-growing kits will be given through a lottery.

Furthermore, to commemorate the ‘Chakage Salja’ event, IBK Industrial Bank plans to deliver organic sanitary products to low-income female adolescents. A bank official said, “We hope this event will raise customers’ interest in ESG and establish a culture of practicing it in daily life.”
