The Gyeonggi Content Agency’s Pangyo Gyeonggi Culture and Creative Hub announced that it is recruiting about 40 trainees for the 8th class of the ‘Cultural Startup Planner’ program until May 21.

The ‘Cultural Startup Planner’ is a support expert who closely assists startups in the cultural content field to grow. Upon completing the Cultural Startup Planner training, participants are given the opportunity to support and help the growth of startups and prospective entrepreneurs in the cultural content sector by assisting with idea discovery, business model development, partnership connections, and other essential elements for startup success.

Applicants who can provide proof of relevant experience such as working in the cultural content industry, consulting experience related to startups, experience in founding or operating businesses in the cultural or content industry, or completion of education related to startup support and investment are eligible to apply. The selection for the 8th class of Cultural Startup Planners will be conducted through document screening and interviews, selecting around 40 individuals. Those selected will receive training for approximately three months from June to September.

This 8th program consists of understanding cultural content and startups, theory and practice of the startup process, and training to enhance planner capabilities. Selected trainees will deepen their understanding of the cultural content industry and develop expertise as professionals by discovering startup ideas, evaluating investments, and securing funding. Additionally, through practical planning exercises, they will improve their ability to diagnose startup issues and provide solutions.

The training method will vary depending on the social distancing level due to COVID-19. If offline training is possible under level 1.5 or below, sessions will be held at the seminar room of the Pangyo Gyeonggi Culture and Creative Hub. For level 2 or above, participants can attend online from their individual homes. Since this is online training due to restrictions on gatherings, attending from external locations such as cafes is not permitted.

A representative from the Gyeonggi Content Agency stated, “Although the cultural content industry, including startups, is generally stagnant due to COVID-19, we are preparing training that applies the characteristics of both online and offline formats to enhance trainees’ capabilities and satisfaction.”

The online briefing session is available on the YouTube channel, and detailed information including announcements can be found on the website. For further inquiries, contact the Cultural Startup Planner coordinator by phone.

Meanwhile, a total of 223 individuals have been nurtured through the Cultural Startup Planner program over the past seven years. They mainly work as startup consultants, mentors, accelerators, and startup instructors, actively contributing to startup growth across various fields.
