"Request for Cooperation to Ensure Smooth Progress According to Government Vaccination Policy"
[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province, is accepting advance reservations for COVID-19 vaccination for the elderly aged 60 to 74 and others until the 3rd of next month.
On the 10th, Yangju City announced, "This vaccination will be conducted through 45 designated medical institutions in the area using the AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccine from the British pharmaceutical company."
The vaccination targets include elderly aged 60 to 74, chronic severe respiratory disease patients, kindergarten, daycare center, and elementary school (grades 1 and 2) teachers, essential social workers, healthcare workers, caregivers, and those who were not vaccinated in the second quarter.
The advance reservation periods by target group are as follows: ▲ Ages 70 to 74 (born 1947?1951) and chronic severe respiratory disease patients: May 6 to June 3 ▲ Ages 65 to 69 (born 1952?1956): May 10 to June 3 ▲ Ages 60 to 64 (born 1957?1961) and kindergarten, daycare center, and elementary school grades 1?2 teachers: May 13 to June 3 ▲ Caregivers, healthcare workers, essential social workers, and those unvaccinated in the second quarter: May 13 to June 3.
The vaccination periods are: ▲ Ages 70 to 74 (1947?1951), 65 to 69 (1952?1956), and chronic severe respiratory disease patients: May 27 to June 19 ▲ Ages 60 to 64 (1957?1961), kindergarten, daycare center, elementary school grades 1?2 teachers, caregivers, healthcare workers, essential social workers, and those unvaccinated in the second quarter: June 7 to June 19.
Vaccination candidates can make reservations for their preferred date and location through the COVID-19 vaccination advance reservation website, the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency call center, and the Yangju City Public Health Center call center.
Elderly individuals who have difficulty making online reservations can visit their local eup/myeon/dong administrative welfare center with their ID and a mobile phone registered in their name. After the advance reservation period ends on June 21, they can visit local designated medical institutions for on-site registration and vaccination.
A city official urged, "Please actively participate in the COVID-19 vaccination to ensure smooth progress according to the government’s vaccination policy."
