[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) has produced the ninth issue of the Seongbuk policy newsletter titled 'Happy Seongbuk through Communication Policy Story, Policy Magazine Issue 9.'
The policy magazine is a district newsletter that provides useful information to residents by explaining various statistics closely related to residents' daily lives, such as policies promoted by Seongbuk-gu, welfare, culture, and safety, in an easy and interesting way. It was first produced on August 31, 2018, and has now reached its ninth issue.
The policy magazine is composed of six sections: ▲Keyword Seongbuk ▲Data in Daily Life ▲Seongbuk Told by Statistics ▲Policy Focus ▲Seongbuk Village Stories ▲Seongbuk Living Information, and can be easily accessed via the ‘Policy Magazine’ shortcut button at the top of the Seongbuk-gu Office website.
In this ‘Policy Magazine Issue 9,’ continuing from the previous issue, the COVID-19 response district diary ‘COVID-19, Overcoming Together in Seongbuk’ is included, recording Seongbuk’s steps toward ‘With COVID’ by documenting the ongoing COVID-19 infection response and vaccination status for herd immunity on a daily basis since the third wave last year.
Additionally, to eliminate blind spots in care and establish a systematic care system, the current status of care institutions in Seongbuk-gu was compared with population density by age group, and big data was utilized to identify regional demand for care institutions.
Furthermore, the magazine covers Seongbuk-gu’s childcare status, analyzes the health of Seongbuk residents, addresses child abuse and suicide rates, and includes major policies and living information such as urban forest creation projects for fine dust response, the opening of Seongbuk-gu COVID-19 vaccination centers, operation of psychological support centers, and the opening of neighborhood Kiwoom Centers.
Lee Seung-ro, Mayor of Seongbuk-gu, stated, “Following last year, we are spending hectic times responding to COVID-19 prevention this year as well,” and added, “Even amid the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we will preserve records of Seongbuk-gu’s promoted policies and field activities and share them with residents to promote communicative administration through forming a consensus on district governance.”
