Hapcheon-gun Begins Pre-Registration for COVID-19 Vaccination for Seniors Aged 60-74 Hapcheon County Office Building Exterior

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 7th that from the 6th to June 3rd, a pre-registration system for vaccination will be operated targeting those aged 70-74, 65-69, 60-64, patients with chronic severe respiratory diseases, kindergarten and daycare teachers, and care personnel for 1st and 2nd grade elementary school students.

Pre-registration is available through the COVID-19 vaccination website, call center, and eup/myeon community centers, with 11 designated medical institutions in the area available for vaccination.

Additionally, elderly individuals who have difficulty making reservations on their own can visit the eup/myeon office with their ID and the mobile phone registered in their name to receive assistance with vaccination reservation.

The vaccine used is AstraZeneca, with a vaccination interval of 8 to 12 weeks; however, considering clinical trial results indicating increased effectiveness with longer intervals, the second dose will be administered at an interval of 11 to 12 weeks.

Moon Jun-hee, mayor of Hapcheon-gun, said, “Please consider your health condition on the day of vaccination to receive the vaccine safely. As COVID-19 cases continue to occur, we urge eligible individuals to actively participate in vaccination.”

The pre-registration and vaccination periods by target group are as follows, and after June 21, on-site registration will also be available at designated medical institutions.
