[Asia Economy Reporter Bae Kyunghwan] The Supreme Court has reorganized its panel composition following the appointment of Justice Kim Sang-hwan as the head of the Court Administration Office and the inauguration of Justice Cheon Dae-yeop.
According to the legal community on the 7th, the Supreme Court's First Division has been finalized with Justices Lee Gi-taek, Park Jeong-hwa, Kim Seon-su, and Noh Tae-ak, replacing former Justice Lee Heung-gu with Justice Noh Tae-ak.
The Second Division now includes Justice Jo Jae-yeon, who returned after serving as the head of the Court Administration Office, and newly appointed Justice Cheon Dae-yeop. Justices Min Yu-suk and Lee Dong-won, who were previously in the Third Division, have been transferred. The Third Division is composed of Justice Kim Jae-hyung, former First Division Justice Lee Heung-gu, and former Second Division Justices Ahn Cheol-sang and Noh Jeong-hee.
The Supreme Court's petty divisions typically undergo moderate to minor restructuring whenever there is a change in justices. However, even if the composition of the petty divisions changes, the presiding justice for existing cases remains unchanged.
