The YouTuber hired as a secretary was known to have posted videos referring to President Moon Jae-in as 'Mr. Moon,' raising concerns about appropriateness.
According to Seoul City on the 6th, Mr. A was recently hired as Mayor Oh's message secretary. The position corresponds to an 8th-grade special appointment. The message secretary is responsible for drafting the mayor's speeches, congratulatory messages, and other related documents.
A Seoul City official explained, "The YouTuber was hired as a special appointment public official," adding, "He will be in charge of tasks related to the mayor's messages and other duties."
Mr. A, a job seeker who has been active as a YouTuber with over 20,000 subscribers, served as the head of the citizen support committee for Mayor Oh's campaign during the by-election period. The YouTube channel was known for its strong conservative tone, including referring to President Moon Jae-in as 'Mr. Moon.'
Videos posted by Mr. A with titles such as "Yoon Seok-yeol sues Mr. Moon" and "The fall of Mr. Moon has begun" have since been deleted.
