[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Emart announced on the 6th that it will start selling COVID-19 self-test kits at about 70 stores in the Seoul metropolitan area, including Seongsu Branch, Wangsimni Branch, and Yeongdeungpo Branch. From the afternoon of the 7th, the sales locations will be expanded to all stores, and full-scale sales will begin on the 10th.
The self-test kit sold at Emart is the ‘Humasis COVID-19 Home Test.’ It is a method where users collect a specimen from inside their nose without expert assistance and drop it onto the kit to check for positive or negative results.
An Emart official said, “We will do our best to secure sufficient stock so that customers can purchase COVID-19 self-test kits whenever they need them.”
