This challenge is a nationwide participatory campaign aimed at actively joining efforts to create a "Korea where we work together, care together, protect together, and are happy together" to overcome the national crisis caused by low birthrate.
Director Park Beom-su said, "Low birthrate is an issue that affects the nation's future, and now childbirth and parenting are not just individual matters but social collective tasks," adding, "Hanul Headquarters will spare no support so that the residents of Uljin County can give birth and raise children with peace of mind as a top priority to overcome low birthrate."
Following Hanul Nuclear Power Plant, the next participants nominated for the relay challenge are Kim Jin-wook, Chief of Uljin Fire Station, and Park Kang-sik, Director of Uljin Post Office.
Meanwhile, KHNP implements work-family balance support systems including work hour adjustments and leave for workers during pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare periods. In particular, Hanul Headquarters is also making efforts to overcome low birthrate in Uljin County by delivering newborn supplies to women giving birth in the area and supporting the construction of Buk-myeon Hana Daycare Center.
