A Total of 325 Selected Across 4 Fields... Project Operation from July 1 to December
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangbuk-gu (District Mayor Park Gyeom-su) is recruiting participants for the ‘2021 Second Half Seoul Citizens Safe Job (Public Work) Project’ from the 10th to the 14th.
The district plans to select a total of 325 people in four fields: ▲Waste Resource Recycling (80 people) ▲Welfare (Meal) Support (38 people) ▲General Labor (201 people) ▲Clean Gangbuk (6 people).
The Waste Resource Recycling project will operate from July 1 to December 31, while the other projects will run from July 1 to December 20.
Applicants must be Gangbuk-gu residents aged 18 or older with the ability to work, whose household income is 70% or less of the median income standard, and whose assets are 300 million KRW or less. Among them, recipients of livelihood benefits under the National Basic Livelihood Security Act, recipients of unemployment benefits and their spouses, those who have participated in public job projects two or more times in the past two years, and those who have participated consecutively twice in public job projects are excluded. However, the district has decided not to include those who participated in the ‘COVID-19 Response Public Job, Hope Job, and Local Job Projects’ conducted last year in the exclusion list, to support residents facing livelihood difficulties due to the spread of infectious diseases.
Those wishing to participate should bring identification, job registration certificates, and other required documents to their local community service center to apply. The district will verify eligibility and notify the final results on June 28.
Park Gyeom-su, Mayor of Gangbuk-gu, said, “We hope that providing public jobs will help residents who have been struggling with their livelihoods due to COVID-19, which has lasted for over a year. We will continue to do our best to establish an employment safety net for residents’ livelihood stability and to revitalize the local economy.”
