"Visitor Testing from April 25 to the 2nd" Notice
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yuri] A COVID-19 infection case has occurred at the fresh supermarket in the basement level 1 food hall of Lotte Department Store Main Branch in Jung-gu, Seoul, prompting health authorities to take action.
The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters sent an emergency disaster text message across the Seoul metropolitan area on the 4th, advising visitors who visited the fresh supermarket in the basement level 1 food hall of the department store from the 25th of last month to the 2nd of this month to get tested for COVID-19 at public health centers.
After the first confirmed COVID-19 case was reported on the 1st, Lotte Department Store conducted a full inspection of all employees working on basement level 1, confirming additional cases. From the 3rd, the store posted notices in front of the affected supermarket and closed the store. The department store plans to temporarily close the basement level 1 food hall until the 5th to carry out disinfection and other measures.
So far, a total of nine related confirmed cases have been identified.
