Jeong Il-woo and Kwon Yuri Star in a Fresh Romance Fusion Historical Drama Set in the Joseon Dynasty
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Wavve continues its content collaboration with comprehensive programming channels and is investing in original programs.
The online video service (OTT) Wavve announced on the 30th that the drama "Bossam: Steal the Fate" (hereinafter "Bossam"), starring actors Jung Il-woo and Kwon Yuri, will be exclusively released on the OTT platform simultaneously with the main broadcast at 9:40 PM on the 1st of next month.
"Bossam" is a new fusion historical drama set in the Joseon era under King Gwanghaegun, depicting a livelihood-based bossam worker who accidentally kidnaps a princess, unfolding a romance story with diverse characters and an engaging plot. It is produced by director Kwon Seok-jang, known for "Pasta," "Golden Time," and "Buam-dong Avengers," writer Kim Ji-soo, who wrote "Medical Brothers" and "My Sons," along with rookie writer Park Cheol.
"Bossam" is the second collaborative work between Wavve and MBN. Last October, Wavve participated in the production investment of the MBN drama "My Dangerous Wife," which was presented as a Wavve original content. This year, Wavve plans to continue expanding content investment by steadily introducing new works including terrestrial and comprehensive programming dramas, idol variety shows, political sitcoms, and self-planned dramas.
