Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Launches Art Employment Information Portal 'Artmoa' 'Artmoa' website screen

[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on the 29th that, together with the Arts Management Support Center, it will launch the website 'Artmoa' on the 30th to support jobs in the arts sector.

Until now, job postings and job-seeking information in the arts field were scattered across bulletin boards on websites of various public institutions and regional cultural foundations, making it difficult to find integrated job information.

In response, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism unified all job and job-seeking information in the arts sector into one place and built Artmoa reflecting the characteristics of the arts field, where there is a high demand for frequent hiring through short-term service contracts. Now, artists can check company and employment information anytime on Artmoa, and companies can utilize talent information.

Artmoa provides job information, talent information, company and occupation information, and news materials. In the 'Job Information' and 'Talent Information' sections, users can search for information based on desired criteria such as field, industry, and region. Based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology, it also offers customized recommendations of talents to companies and companies to job seekers.

In the 'Company and Occupation Information' section, company information, company visits, and occupation information are subdivided to introduce information about companies in the arts sector and the job descriptions of related occupations.

Additionally, by utilizing BIG KINDS from the Korea Press Foundation, various employment-related news is provided, along with convenient features such as standard contracts, salary calculators, and grade and language score converters.

In the second half of the year, Artmoa plans to be advanced into a system that links and supports employment and job training. By connecting with the online education support service of the 'Arts Management Academy (MoAA)' operated by the Arts Management Support Center, in 2022, users will be able to take online courses on Artmoa for employment education and training necessary to strengthen job competencies after employment.

A Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism official stated, “Artmoa will not only provide company and employment information but also enhance information services to become an online system where artists can strengthen their job competencies and develop their careers.”
