Outdoor Dynamic Zone Opens… Monster Blaster, Super Boomerango, Giant Waterplex in Operation
Waterparks Operated by Sono Hotels & Resorts Nationwide Open Outdoors and Expand Operations
All Visitors Receive Free Ocean Masks Exclusive for Waterparks
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Ocean World, a waterpark operated by Sono Hotels & Resorts, announced on the 28th that it will open the 'Outdoor Dynamic Zone' on the 1st of next month. Ocean World, designed with the concept of relocating an oasis in the Egyptian desert, will first open outdoor facilities including Monster Blaster, Super Boomerango, and Giant Waterplex.
The world's first 300m two-person tube slide 'Monster Blaster' and the 68-degree slope six-person tube slide 'Super Boomerango' are the most popular spots among waterpark visitors at Ocean World. The Giant Waterplex is a giant water playground boasting various slides and two large baskets that pour 6 tons of waterfall. Ocean World plans to sequentially open outdoor attractions such as Double Spin, Double Tornado, Super S Ride, Surfing Mount, and Extreme River by June.
The indoor Aqua Zone will also operate normally. The indoor zone includes a wave pool, waterplex, kids pool, outdoor spa, and outdoor lazy river, making it a family-friendly water play area suitable for all ages. There are also thrill rides such as Tumble Wave Slide, Body Slide, and Tube Slide for exciting rapid rides.
Ocean World will provide all visitors with one free Ocean Mask each, which is safe for water play. The Ocean Mask is the first waterpark-exclusive mask developed in Korea, maintaining its performance even in hot and humid environments or after the surface gets wet. It can be worn continuously in lockers, showers, and even while riding attractions.
Waterparks within resorts operated nationwide by Sono Hotels & Resorts will also simultaneously open outdoor zones and expand operations. Geoje Ocean Adventure will fully open on the 30th, and Cheonan Ocean Adventure will expand outdoor operations on the 1st of next month. Ocean Play locations nationwide, including Sol Beach Yangyang and Samcheok, are preparing to open on May 1st. Goyang Sono Calm Hotel will open its outdoor swimming pool as a heated pool on the 1st of next month.
To commemorate the opening of the outdoor zone, Ocean World will launch various promotions and package products. Throughout May, if three generations of a family visit together, grandparents can enter free of charge. Every Wednesday in May and June is Member Invitation Day, allowing Sono Hotels & Resorts registered members free admission. Up to four accompanying guests can receive a 50% discount.
From May 3rd to 10th, for eight days, the 'Ocean World Outing Set Ticket' will be sold through Kakao Makers. This package allows use of Ocean World, gondola, and rail sled all together. Starting at 48,000 KRW for two people, it is available exclusively through Kakao Makers.
Until the 30th, the Kakao Makers 'Vivaldi Park All-Inclusive Ocean World Edition' package is also available. Purchasing this package grants access to accommodation, breakfast buffet, waterpark, leisure activities, and facility discounts. Although the product is based on two people, it provides free access to Ocean World, breakfast buffet, and leisure activities for up to two preschool children or one child (elementary school student).
