English Woman Secretly Remarries and Has Child Without Husband and Children Knowing

On the 22nd (local time), the British media outlet Mirror reported that a woman named Brinda Kantamanen (42) had been having an affair with a man named Matthew Hall (45) without her husband knowing during their 18 years of marriage. It was revealed that Brinda, who had been married to her husband Ravi Kantamanen for 18 years, even had a child with Matthew.

Ravi and Brinda were known to have married in May 1999 in North Carolina, USA, and have two children while living in London, UK. However, starting in 2017, Ravi became suspicious as Brinda was frequently absent from home, and in December of that year, he discovered that his wife had married a man named Matthew in October.

Brinda not only held the wedding with Matthew at a location close enough to walk from the home where Ravi and the children lived, but she also secured a second residence. Additionally, she showed meticulousness by listing a different name for the father on the marriage certificate.

At the trial held last month, Brinda admitted to having married again despite already having a husband. Since the maximum legal penalty for bigamy is seven years in prison, it is expected that Brinda will not avoid imprisonment.

Meanwhile, Brinda and Ravi divorced in 2019. The Mirror reported that Brinda's sentencing hearing is scheduled for May 28.
